About the camps:

Who will be teaching?

Jason Chollar and his team of personally trained helpers. (Including potentially Cameron Chollar, Jonathan Allison, Laina Crouch, Caleb Zedwick, … as they are available)

Who is this designed for?

Any teen that is interested in being part of a worship team someday.

What do we need?

No experience required.  You don’t have to own any instruments, we have all that here.  All we need is a good attitude and someone ready to learn, serve and have fun!

What are we going to be doing?

We will play games, make music, study the bible, try out all of the instruments and all of the tech positions, laugh & learn together, … then show all we have learned on Friday evening at our “worship concert”.

Everyone will get some basic training and experience in the following areas:
-Theology of Music/Worship
-Music Theory
-Acoustics
-Audio Engineering
-Lighting
-Multi-media production
-Guitar/Bass
-Piano/Keys
-Drums/Percussion
-Vocals
-Stage Communication

Where?

We will be using the facilities at Cedarhome Baptist Church.

Why are you doing this?

God is worthy of our most passionate worship, in general with our whole lives, but also specifically through congregational song. (Ps 107:32 for example)  Jesus told us to make disciples.  (Matt 28:18-20)  I feel called to train as many young worship leaders, musicians and technicians as I can for God’s family and this is one of the ways I do that.  During the rhythm of the school year I have a weekly JAM session and I teach private lessons.  During the summer I do worship music camps.

I hope you can come join the fun!
